This
is the first year since 1997 that the weather has cooperated to provide enough
races to award this early trophy.

Jan and Russ Kincaid
The traditional July fourth race was a long distance affair this year, unfortunately the wind didn’t cooperate. Jan Kincaid had the patience and concentration to outlast us all finishing first over the 3 hour course.
Summer Series 35 races
Although
the weather may not have set any records the racing turned out to be very good.
We got in 35 races and had some very challenging winds on more than one
occasion. Sailors this year really
took on the challenge.

Progress Award
Bob Sloan
It’s
been 11 years since this trophy has been awarded.
Bob clinched this trophy on 2 especially heavy air race days by single
handling a Hobie 16 in 20-30 mph winds. One
of these Sundays the race committee recorded 38 mph winds.
Nice job Bob.
