Most members of the club as well as the community at large know our long standing Treasurer, Rich Knaul. He has provided the club with many years of service in this and in other board positions. He and his wife Barb, with their family, David, Katie and John, have spent many of their summers at the club.

The treasurers office has changed some this year with the addition of an Assistant Treasurer, Beth Butera.

The postion of the treasure involves a lot more than most of the members realize. The duties continue throughout the entire year. It's not just the payroll in the summer, but it is making sure that the taxes and insurance and all other bills are paid on time. Then, before the season starts, the treasuer submits the projected budget for the season based on the projected membership numbers. This is why it is extremely important for anyone who is resigning from the club to make this know to the treasurer. All of this planning starts in January, when most members aren't even thinking about the club, but are planning or going on their winter vacations.

In recent years, the treasurer has also been deeply involved in laying out our long term Capital Improvment Plan. By planning out our capital improvemnts, we have been able to make much needed improvements to the kitchen, the swim area, the boat dock, mole and north shelter,to the bathrooms and a new swim dock. Without the proper planning by the treasurer these improvements would have been almost impossible to accomplish.
