The Swim Area

Laura Rieks is the Club swimming director. She has the responsibility of overseeing the swimming area for the board of directors.
During the season is at least one lifeguard on duty for the posted hours. The swim area, directly in front of the clubhouse, is there for the enjoyment of members and guests. Swimming is allowed in the roped area from the north to the swim dock to the south. Except for "swimmers" being supervised directly by their parents and adults, swimmers are to buddy up. Buddy checks will be called periodically by the lifeguard and the buddies are expected to pair up and raise their hands.

There are three ropes that are parallel to the shore that designate the water depth. The area closest to shore is for the littlest non-swimmers. They should not be in the water unless under the direct supervision of a responsible adult.

The second area is for swimmers and non-swimmers both. There is no diving off of the swim dock into this area.

The deepest and largest area is the outermost section, where the club maintains two rafts. A test is administered to kids up to x years old before they can enter this area or use the rafts.

Everyone using the swim is must abide by the rules that are established for the waterfront, and must always obey the lifeguards.

There is NO FISHING in the swim area or off of the swim dock at any time.

Drinking Glasses and glass bottles are not allowed on the concrete swim shore either.

As is the case along the entire shoreline of the club property, there is No stone throwing.

All rules for the Beach Safety Plan must be followed by everyone using this area.
