Tom Graber has taken over the duties of insuring that the OYC Grounds are properly maintained. We have about 7 1/2 acres that has to be maintained. His responsibilities incude all of the dirveways, parking lots, picnic areas and the playground. He works directly with the club steward to insure that the club looks it's best. |
On the grounds, and in the Club building - pick up after yourself. We have trash cans situated all around the property for your trash. The steward does not have time to pick up after each and every one of us. He does collect the contents of the trash cans on a daily basis. When trash is not handled properlty we tend to get more unwanted visitors, skunks, racoons and birds which scatter the non-edible protions of the trash.
Don't leave personal item around the club grounds or in club buildings. When thing are inadvertently left around the grounds they are removed to the lost and found box located . Check it out and see if any of the items are yours.
We are working with the waterfront to try to get the boats in the upper parking lot consolidated. Do not leave you boat and or trailer in this parking lot if you have a mooring, lift, or if the boat is to be left on the shore. This is the area that boaters who trailer their boats all year may leave them. Still, this past summer, the trailers were taking up an excessive number of parking spaces.
