Sailing Lessons for 2018 Depends on You!

Picture

Bob Sloan and Gary Robertson have taught the sailing lessons for years and done an excellent job.  Gary arranged to borrow sunfish from Wells College so everyone had a boat to sail. Last year’s participation was way down and whether they are offered this year is a question we need to answer.   Your feedback will provide the answer. What we are proposing:

  • There seemed to be many other activities at the beginning of summer that competed with lessons so we would move them to the first week of August.
  • They would be offered for one week.
  • Open up lessons to adults
  • If there is enough interest, we could also do evening sessions for adults.
  • We would use club boats, the effort to get Wells boats isn’t warranted with last year’s enrollment.
We need to hear from you to keep lessons going, there needs to be more interest than last year’s 4 or 5 sailors.
Please contact Bob Sloan 315-730-3019, before July 14 if you are interested in participating.  A decision will be made at that time.

Adult Sailing Program

We would like to be able to offer lessons for adults who wish to learn more about the basics of sailing.  The class would deal  with subjects like the beginners class above. If you have any interest in adult lessons, please contact Bob Sloan at 315-252-7165.
There is no charge for adult lessons and they would be available to all members in good standing.
