The First Attempt To Build A Railroad From The Coal Fields of Pennsylvania To The Great Lakes
     Through This Area Was in 1852, But It Failed Due To Lack of Funds.
     A New Company, The Southern Central Railroad, Was Formed in 1865.
     The Company Was Formed with Cyrus Dennis, William Seward, Thomas Platt, William Barber and
John K. Knapp.
     The Southern Central Was Successful and Later Become the Lehigh Valley Railroad.
     The Right of Way Was Abandoned In the 1960's.

The original old station, which was converted into a summer camp,
