This Area Was Know as Hubbard's Point Prior the Dredging of the Outlet and the Creation of the Island.

1868 Island Was Formed From the Soil Dredged From the Outlet to Help Control the Flow of Water From the Lake.

Island Park From Out Near The Pumphouse

     1889 1st Amusement Park Opened.
     1901 Miniature Train Added to Amusement Park.
     1904 First Summer Theater At Park.
     1916 Roller Coaster Opened.
     1967 Deauville (Island Park) Sold to County And It Was Promptly Destoyed and Denuded.
